Tom's diverse practice includes, representing municipalities, businesses and individuals. Since 1989, Tom has served as City Attorney for the City of Mendota. Tom is also the City Prosecutor for the City of Lilydale. He regularly accepts prosecutorial appointments when conflicts arise for other prosecutors in Dakota County.
Tom's municipal practice is complemented by his extensive business practice. His extensive experience includes business litigation and business formation issues. Employment law, family law, residential real estate matters and estate planning/probate round out Tom's practice.
Tom is active in the community, having taught Business Law at Inver Hills Community College and supervised interns from the William Mitchell College of Law Misdemeanor Clinic. Tom's contribution to the community also includes work in Dakota County Legal Aid and Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services. Tom is a member of the Ramsey County, Washington County and Dakota County Bar Associations; the Minnesota State Bar Association; Minnesota Trial Lawyers; and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.
Thomas R. Lehmann is a 1984 graduate, cum laude, of Concordia College of Moorhead with a major in Business Administration. In 1987, he graduated from William Mitchell College of Law. Tom served as law clerk for the Honorable J.B. Gunderson, District Court Judge, Tenth Judicial District and for the Honorable Thomas J. Kalitowski, Judge, Minnesota Court of Appeals.
Tom is a native of South St. Paul, Minnesota. He is a scratch golfer, and on several occasions he has been mistaken for "the other Tom Lehman."
